Title: Seiberg-Witten equation and its application to the special metric

Speaker: Dr. Inyoung Kim (GAIA, POSTECH)

Abstract: We introduce the Seiberg-Witten equation when a manifold admits a Kahler metric of constant negative scalar curvature and we briefly discuss the difference when a manifold admits an almost-Kahler metric. As an application, we introduce C. LeBrun's result about the rigidity of Einstein metrics on certain manifolds which are smooth, compact quotient of complex-hyperbolic 2-space.

Place: GAIA Seminar Room (#106, Math Science bldg.)
